‘Hairspray’ director Adam Shankman left out a little on the sequel to the blockbuster movie-musical and how Zac Efron and Brittany Snow fit in the big picture. ‘Hairspray 2 : White Lipstick’ is the sequel’s official title, and the director, dished to MTV, on Zac Efron and Brittany Snow. On Link Larkin getting hooked on acid: ‘I think that’s probably part of the treatment that won’t get used. And in the treatment, [Efron’s drug use] is an accident. That’s the kind of stuff where you’re like: ‘Yeah, I don’t know if that’s going to work.’ On who will take the place of the Von Tussles, the villians of the movie: ‘There’ll be a change in villains. [John Waters’ treatment] is ideas that we’re just going to pick and choose from, and we’ll see what happens with it. Probably [no Michelle Pfeiffer]. Not because we didn’t love her, but because we just thought different adversaries [would be necessary].’ On the Vietnam War backdrop: ‘No, it wasn’t Zac.’. Related Posts: |
